Dance & Aqua Running - Leah

After a dismal diagnosis of bursitis in the hip, I have resorted to aqua running to try and get myself back on the pavement minus the bursitis! But firstly, I'll log my Monday night 1.5hr Jazz class with the wonderful Helen Curwood.

As usual her class starts off with a good 30mins of dance stretches. Starting with the toes ankles and legs. Then moving on from there, she goes into segregation of the body, arm stretches, neck, shoulder.......I could go on and on but basically we are talking about a full body stretch and loosen up before proceeding with corner work. This includes pirouettes, jetes and some interesting combinations. Then we proceed with chore on a dance. Love the one she's given us!

Thursday - Australia Day 6.30pm Melbourne Aquatic Center. 60 mins of Aqua running which also included some core strength exercise. Feel quite good and the hip, more importantly is feeling good after being in the water.
