Front squat – worked up to 140kg x 1. Then drop set 100x3

Deadlift – worked up to 200kg x 1

Dips 4x10 @ 10kg

Pullups 4x5 @ 5kg

The Dad and boys road trip took us to Warrnambool on Thursday and I went to AquaZone on the recommendation of few people. Thanks To Kelly for looking after the boys while I ducked out. It was $15 for a casual gym session, the equipment was shit – the Olympic bars were old and worn and rattled around and the only squat rack was one with pins at set heights that forced me to half squat the weight out of the rack. Heaps and heaps of stationary bikes and steppers and all that crap and lots of people doing stretches and lunges and grunting bicep curls and running without getting anywhere. So when I started squatting and deadlifting I looked like some kind of circus freak.

Got the workout done though and left the building about 80 minutes after I entered. The front squats felt more difficult than last week but was happy to get 130. Could have possibly got more but the 130 was a grinder and I’m doing my best to listen to my body with this frequent training and not push myself into a vein bursting one rep max every workout.

    You took 80 minutes?? What were you doing for all that time...reading the Women's Health magazines on the rack or something?
