Mentally Sexy Monday - Damian

Damian is a fulltime, stay-at-home-dad to three girls – Taylor (four) and Lexi & Ruby (twenty-month-old twins).

"My mentally sexy attributes: I asked my wife and she said that when I played with the kids and had them in stitches from tickling was when I was most Mentally Sexy to her.

I also have the ability to (almost) balance the budget every month and I cook meals and finger food for the kids from scratch most days.

I know at any moment through the day what the kids have had to eat, what their health and physical state is, and I can answer up to three hours in advance what kind of environment nightly bath time is going to be like. I have taught my kids to bounce a basketball, give two thumbs up and twirl like ballerinas.

I am studying part time so as to allow my wife the choice in the future of working part-time and spend more time with the kids if she wants to.

The impact of looking after the finances and keeping them balanced has had the biggest impact on our relationship (for the better), followed by putting the work in to cook healthy meals for the kids.

It’s great to see more and more dads making the decision to be a full-time or part-time parent."
